Printing United 2019 Material Review
In October, we visited Printing United 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Printing United describes itself as a brand-new trade show that will “provide access to the latest solutions for apparel, graphics/wide-format, and functional printing applications.” Their goal is putting under one roof “access to all printing technologies.” Those of us in the industry all agree it’s an exciting time for printing and print-on-demand products. A show with so many different technologies and materials in one place was both informative and inspiring.
What was Kristen most excited about on this trip to Dallas? Texas barbecue? Well, yeah, of course, but also some very innovative printing technology.
If you weren’t able to make it to the show, here are Kristen’s top three picks from Printing United 2019!
Dreamscape is well respected for its commercial wallcoverings and had an incredible selection of over 20 different textures and materials customers can choose to print on. Some of their materials are made out of recycled plastic, and others are literally sparkling.
Endutex is a company from Portugal who makes coated technical textiles. They can print up to 5 meters wide and offer a range of material options from 100% recyclable to PVC Free, and materials suitable for indoor and outdoor applications.
Ultraflex has a large selection of high-performing textiles and flexible substrates. They showed a wide range of textile options for printing, with impressive quality. The texture of these products would make a customized item stand out in a room.
Of course, we were happy to see our friends at ITNH. ITNH specializes in Industrial Inkjet Printing Equipment and Inks sales as well as amazing customer service. If you want to print on any of these cool new materials a great printer and ink sales company is your next stop.
As printing technology improves and on-demand printing materials get better and better, the options are endless for interior designers and architects to customize a project and space with a design specific to that space.
Were you at the Printing United show too? What were your favorite new printing materials and technologies? Do you have a new technology and need good designs to show it off?
Get in touch; we’re always looking for new companies to partner with.
Looking forward to next year’s show in Atlanta.
