Art Exhibits this Fall

We are excited to inform you about three exhibits this fall featuring the original art by Design Pool’s founder, Kristen Dettoni, and Director of Marketing Kristin Crane. If you are local to Rhode Island or Geneva, Illinois, we hope you’ll stop in to view one of these shows or attend an opening.

Kristen Dettoni has two punch needle pieces in this show, juried by artist and printer Dan Wood. Her second piece, Braille Series One (Do Not Touch), is the first in a new series she’s been developing.

Both Kristen and Kristin have several pieces each in this group show. Eight artists are contributing to this show, including Paula Stebbins Becker and Cathy Wilkerson. Kristen will be doing an artist’s talk at the opening. She’ll discuss her work using codes to create imagery and Elizebeth Smith Friedman’s connection to Geneva.

If you’re local, we hope you’ll stop by the opening and consider signing up for an indigo dyeing workshop with Cathy of The Indigo Squirrel on Saturday, October 8.

36th Annual Rhode Island Open Exhibit

Warwick Center for the Arts • Warwick, Rhode Island
October 1, 2022 – November 12, 2022
Opening reception: October 6, 2022, 6:00 – 7:30

Kristin Crane has one handwoven piece, Razor Clam for Sheila, in this juried show. This show features 58 artists working in all media and showcases current works created by Rhode Island artists.

Throughout her career, Kristen has always maintained an art practice, whether working for a large company or owning her own small business. She believes strongly that a solid foundation in art leads to good design. This guiding principle is vital to how Design Pool operates, and we love to share our artistic endeavors with all of you who engage with Design Pool.

We hope to see you at an opening!
